How fresh is the sod?
Cut for your order, not pulled from inventory. Every roll is grown to the Sod Squad Standard: a tall fescue blend, grown at least 9 months, cut the morning of your delivery, with no plastic netting. It goes from field to your driveway — never sitting on pallets for days, and never wrapped around plastic netting.
Can I pick sod up instead?
No — delivery only, and no single strips. That is how we keep every roll fresh: it gets cut when a delivery is scheduled, not stacked waiting for walk-ins.
How fast do I need to install delivered sod?
Same day, ideally within hours. Have the ground fully prepped before the truck arrives — soil loosened, amended, graded, and damp. If your prep is not done, move the delivery, not the planting window.
Should I DIY or have you install it?
If your yard is under about 250 sqft of patching, DIY rolls make sense. For a full lawn, compare honestly: our full install is $2.85/sqft including tear-out, composted topsoil, lime, starter fertilizer, the sod, and 30 days of aftercare — most DIY jobs that fail, fail on the prep, not the grass.
