Why our pallets are different.

Most pallet sod was cut days ago and trucked an hour from an inland farm. Ours is cut the morning it lands on your driveway.

01

Grown 9 months

Tall fescue blend matured at our New Jersey farm — deep roots, shore-adapted, no plastic netting in the rolls.

02

Cut for your order

Not pulled from inventory. Your pallet is harvested the same morning it's delivered, so it arrives green and cool.

On your driveway in hours

Local delivery across Ocean and Monmouth County — prep your ground first, lay it the same day.

Pallet questions, answered.

How much is a pallet of sod?
From us, about $550 per pallet delivered in Ocean and Monmouth County, NJ — and that price includes the delivery. Garden centers and farms typically charge $250–$450 for the pallet plus a separate delivery fee, so compare the delivered number, not the sticker.
How many square feet are on a pallet of sod?
Ours covers about 500 square feet. Pallet sizes vary by farm — anywhere from 400 to 600 square feet — which is why two “pallet prices” are rarely comparing the same amount of grass. Always ask for the coverage.
How many pallets of sod do I need?
Divide your lawn’s square footage by 500 and round up. A typical NJ front yard (1,500 sq ft) is 3 pallets; front and back (3,000 sq ft) is 6. Text us your address and we’ll measure it from satellite for free — no tape measure required.
How much does a pallet of sod weigh?
Roughly 1,500–3,000 lbs depending on moisture — wet sod weighs dramatically more. That’s why it ships on a truck with a forklift or Moffett, and why you want it dropped as close to the work area as your driveway allows.
How long can sod sit on the pallet?
Install it the same day, ideally within hours. Sod is a living plant stacked in the dark — in summer heat it starts cooking from the inside within 24 hours. We cut for your order the same morning so the clock starts as late as possible.
Do you deliver, or can I pick up?
Delivery only, across Ocean and Monmouth County — $250 minimum order. No pickups and no single strips: cutting to order for scheduled deliveries is how every roll stays fresh.
