Sod installation in
Ocean County.

We don't do lawn care. We do lawn replacement — old lawn out, soil rebuilt, farm-fresh sod down, usually in a single day. It's the only thing we do, in every town from Point Pleasant to Tuckerton.

Specialists.
Not generalists.

Every landscaper in Ocean County will tell you they “do sod.” They also do mulch, mowing, leaf cleanups, and snow. We do one thing, every day, all season — and it shows.

Here's exactly what happens.

01

We rip out your old lawn

Scraped clean to bare soil and hauled away. No spraying and tilling, no layering over dead grass.

02

We rebuild the soil

Composted topsoil built up in layers, graded flat, lime and starter fertilizer worked in — the step that decides year two.

03

Fresh sod goes down

Cut that morning at the farm, laid tight with staggered seams, rolled with a 300 lb roller.

Two things. Done right.

The lawn, and the water that keeps it alive.

Questions Ocean County actually asks.

How much does sod installation cost in Ocean County?
Our standard written rate is $2.85 per square foot for the complete job — tear-out, composted topsoil, lime, starter fertilizer, farm-fresh sod, and 30 days of aftercare. A typical 1,500 sq ft front yard runs about $4,275. Project minimum is $2,000.
Why does Ocean County soil need special preparation?
The county sits on sandy coastal soil that drains fast and runs acidic. We build up 2–3 inches of composted topsoil and apply lime to bring the pH into the 6.2–6.8 range grass needs — the step most installers skip, and the reason our lawns last while others thin out within a year or two.
How fast is the install?
Most lawns are torn out, prepped, and finished in a single day. We measure your yard from satellite, so the quote usually arrives the same day you text your address — no walkthrough needed.
What kind of grass do you install?
A tall fescue blend grown for 9 months at our New Jersey farm — deep roots, heat-tough, salt-air tolerant, and cut fresh for your job in big net-free rolls. It's the grass that was built for the Shore.
Do I need a sprinkler system?
Over about 1,500 sq ft of new sod, yes — hand-watering cannot keep that much grass alive through a Jersey summer. We install zoned irrigation too, typically $2,850–$3,950, and check existing systems free with your estimate.
