How much does sod installation cost in Ocean County, NJ?

$2.85 per square foot for full-service installation — tear-out, composted topsoil, fresh farm-grown sod, and 30 days of care included. A typical 1,500 sq ft front yard runs about $4,275. Our project minimum is $2,000.

Do you offer seeding instead of sod?

No — we install sod only. We spend 9 months growing our grass at the farm, so you get a finished lawn in one day instead of gambling a whole season on seed in sandy shore soil.

What kind of grass do you install?

A tall fescue blend grown at our New Jersey farm — deep roots, heat-tough, and right for sandy Jersey Shore soil. No plastic netting in our sod, and it's cut fresh for your job, not sitting on pallets for days.

Do I need irrigation for new sod?

For lawns over about 1,500 sq ft, yes — hand-watering can't keep that much new sod alive. We install irrigation systems too, typically $2,850–$3,950 depending on zones, and we check existing systems free with your estimate.

Can I just buy sod delivered?

Yes — one pallet covers about 500 sq ft and runs about $550 delivered. $250 delivery minimum, no pickups.

When can I walk on my new lawn?

Stay off it for the first 2–3 weeks while it knits in (pets too, as much as possible). First mow is around day 30 — we'll walk you through all of it, it's part of the job.

How do deposits work?

A $250 deposit locks your install date, and it applies to your balance.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — fully licensed and insured, including workers’ comp and liability. Certificates of insurance available on request.

When is install season?

Spring through mid-October. Slots fill week by week in season, which is why estimates come with a 30-day price lock — your number holds while you decide.
